Julia is the author of The Scar Gatherer series, seven time-travel adventures for 8-12 year olds. Writing these allowed her to spend several years in parts of the past she's always wanted to visit. Julia is also the author of 'Unlucky for Some', thirteen comic and vengeful short stories for kids. Readers of this collection will find out just how nasty she really is. Julia lives in Salisbury in the UK with her kind but eccentric husband who makes giant models of creepy-crawlies for fun. They have 3 sons, 1 cat, 6 lovebirds, 4 fancy pheasants and roughly 6 quails and 8 chickens, depending on recent egg laying, fox activity, and whether any of the cockerels has been uppity lately. Julia recently finished a new book for older children called 'An Idiot's Guide to Grave Robbing' and is now editing a book for adults set in Alsace Lorraine in WW2.
