Widely recognized as a leading global authority on security culture, Kai Roer has shaped how organizations worldwide think about the human side of cybersecurity. He created the Security Culture Framework in 2010, which the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) later adopted as the foundation for its own Cybersecurity Culture Framework — a rare distinction for an independent researcher and entrepreneur. Kai founded CLTRe, the world's first SaaS platform for measuring security culture, selling it to KnowBe4 in 2019. He served as KnowBe4's Chief Research Officer before launching Praxis Security Labs, where he continues to advise boards and executives on human risk and organizational culture. With more than 30 years of experience spanning seven ventures across technology, communication, and leadership, Kai brings both research depth and operational credibility to his writing. He has spoken at RSA Conference, served on the Black Hat Advisory Board, and lectured on six continents.
