Kirsten Sundberg Lunstrum was born in Chicago and raised in the Puget Sound area. She has degrees from Pacific Lutheran University and UC Davis. She teaches literature and creative writing and is the author of three collections of short fiction. Her writing has been recognized with several fellowships, a PEN/O. Henry Prize, and the 2017 Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction.
