Lance is the author of the Rune Fire Cycle. He grew up in rural central Iowa, the product of good parents and public education. He attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon IA with majors in Anthropology and Biology, then pursued medicine at the University of Iowa. He has practiced emergency medicine in his hometown for over 25 years. As a youth, he gamed regularly with a group of friends playing old school D&D. This bled into the rest of his life where anything involving escapism related sci-fi and fantasy. He finally stopped gaming and now becomes lost in the characters and plots he creates. He enjoys creating immersive environments and characters that tug at your heartstrings. His works make fantasy accessible to ages from young adult with enough intrigue and interest to engage adult readers. Favorite hobbies: hiking, travel, acoustic guitar. If he had more time, he would doubtless be shamelessly addicted to several MMORPG's but one can only have so many vices ad still feel productive!
