Louisa Swaden is a writer, speaker, and former corporate executive whose work explores courage, reinvention, and what it means to live fully in the second half of life. Known to many as The Existential Biker, she swapped boardrooms for backroads to become a motorcycle tour guide, land speed racer, and student of Stoic philosophy. She is one of the few women to race at the Bonneville Salt Flats and hold the title Lady of Speed on Sand at Pendine Sands. In The Stoic Rider, Louisa blends ancient philosophy with hard-won experience to explore fear, resilience, identity, and the quiet search for meaning in a noisy world. Her writing speaks to anyone standing at the edge of change — whether on a motorcycle or simply at a crossroads in life. When she’s not writing, she’s usually riding, powerlifting, walking her dog, or wandering somewhere quiet with a notebook in hand. Louisa has spoken internationally on philosophy, adventure, and personal transformation, including appearances at The Overland Event (UK), Horizons Unlimited California, and WIMA’s 75th Anniversary in Portland, Maine.
