Maike Maja Nowak, born in 1961, is an inspiring trauma therapist for both people and dogs. The award-winning former singer-songwriter is the author of numerous SPIEGEL bestsellers on trauma healing and an advocate for human-dog relationships. In the two-year ZDF series "The Dog Whisperer," she offered a wide audience insights into dogs as mirrors of humanity. Since 2007, thousands of people have sought her advice. As a state-licensed psychotherapist with additional training in trauma therapy and as a certified animal therapist, she supports them in healing from trauma. Maike Maja Nowak lives and works in the Prignitz region of Germany and in Sweden.
