Maria Denison originally published The Reflex Part 1 in 2022 but quickly learned people do judge a book by its cover. She republished The Reflex in 2025 with a new cover and combined Part 1 and Part 2. Since, she has added the second book in The Reflex Series, The Reaction. The Reflex Series was a passion project for Ms Denison. The series is a genre braiding exploration of love, courage, found family, the lies we live with and believe, and the cost of all of it. Originally writing as a hobby, Ms. Denison is now writing full time and will publishing a stand alone romance later this year, as well as the third book in The Reflex Series. She believes readers will enjoy her more mature characters because with life, age does bring wisdom. Besides, they make for far more intriguing characters. Ms. Denison grew up in New England, lived in the MidWest and now resides on the West Coast.
