Michael DeVinney is an economics and private property expert, author, and analyst whose work advances a unified philosophical framework that integrates natural law, human action, and order to explain the foundations of society. He writes from the conviction that every just form of law, economics, and politics must arise from the nature of man, not from legislative decree. Out of that period of recovery and reflection came his first full-length book, Pure Political Philosophy: Natural Law and Sulaocracy—a synthesis of philosophy and economics that seeks to restore the unity between truth, law, and freedom. The term Sulaocracy, coined by Michael himself, derives from the Greek sulao (“to plunder”) and kratos (“rule”), describing a system in which the state sustains itself by expropriation. A companion work, Lex Naturalis, distills those principles into applied jurisprudence. His intellectual influences include Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Hans-Hermann Hoppe, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Thomas Sowell.
