Mickey Peters has spent a lifetime building things from blueprints and furniture to young minds and now entire worlds. A retired technology education instructor, she taught subjects such as technical drawing, architecture, woodworking, and photography. Today she channels that same creativity and curiosity into her writing. Her novel Miranda’s Mission grew from the same belief that guided her classroom lessons: imagination and determination can build anything. When schoolteacher Miranda Moss is pulled into a world of magic and mystery, she relies on compassion, wit, and common sense to survive. Mickey gave her those traits on purpose. Like her creator, Miranda has a strong moral compass, a sharp sense of humor, and no patience for foolishness. Mickey calls herself a dreamer who finds stories in the quiet space between logic and wonder. She credits her husband for encouraging her to finally start writing them down. Her characters often reflect her quirky outlook on life and her belief that kindness and courage never go out of style. When she is not writing, Mickey enjoys scuba diving, tending her herb garden, traveling, swimming, volunteering, and reading. She has written two books and continues to create stories for readers who love adventure, humor, and heart in equal measure.
