I was born in Edinburgh, graduated from St. Andrews University with a 1st Class Honours degree in psychology, and received a scholarship to study at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania in the USA. I subsequently obtained my PhD at University College London, and currently work as an educational psychologist. I have travelled extensively and have lived and worked in the USA, Czech Republic and Poland.
