Nivashni Nair Sukdhev is a South African word warrior and mother. She balances her precious waking hours lobbing keyboard strikes against those in power on behalf of the downtrodden or voiceless as a senior journalist at the Sunday Times; indulging her passion for shoes and shopping; keeping the man who swept her off her feet in a record 12-day romance happy; satisfying her bibliophile tendencies and being the mother of a priceless boy, who symbolises her victory against Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and infertility. Her first book, What’s on my mind? Making babies, a personal account of her victorious battle against PCOS and infertility was published in 2020. And is in its third print run. Nivashni published her first romance book in February 2022. Her second romance book, published this year has received five-star ratings on the biggest book community, GoodReads. Her third romance book was launched at the Durban International Book Fair on 12 August. She is a multi award-winning journalist and a recipient of the UNESCO literature award.
