Núria Añó (1973) is a Catalan writer whose work delves deeply into the psychology of her characters through an introspective and distinctive voice. Published internationally and translated into fifteen languages, she is known for her ability to capture silence, inner tension, and the complexity of family relationships. Her narrative style—reminiscent of art‑house cinema—blends emotional precision, a contemplative rhythm, and a quiet tension that lingers long after the final page. Her novel "Els nens de l’Elisa" (2006) received third prize in the 24th Ramon Llull Novel Award. She later published "The Dead Writer" (2008), "Lowering Clouds" (2009), "La mirada del fill" (2012), and her biography of Salka Viertel, "The Salon of Exiled Artists in California" (2020). Añó won the 18th Joan Fuster Prize for Fiction and placed fourth in international writing at the Shanghai Get‑Together. She has also been invited to prestigious writing residencies across Europe and Asia, including programs in Finland, China, Sweden, Greece, Poland, Latvia, and Croatia. Her work continues to reach readers worldwide through translations, international editions, and a growing global readership.
