About the Author RJ Greyta is a writer with a passion for storytelling that explores the complexities of love, culture, and personal growth, alongside the quieter shadows of power, surveillance, and choice. Born in London, Greyta has long been drawn to the spaces where different worlds meet, and to the challenges of navigating life between them. Drawing on personal experience and a deep appreciation for global cultures, his work often examines what it means to remain human in systems that demand conformity. His debut novel, The Mochi Promise, is a heartfelt, emotionally driven story set between London and Seoul, following a British music producer and a former K-pop idol as they navigate love, identity, and the difficult act of choosing each other in a world that asks for everything. The novel reflects Greyta’s interest in intimate relationships shaped by place, memory, and unspoken longing. Greyta’s second novel, Echoes of Empire: The Recruit, shifts into darker territory. Set against the world of modern intelligence and surveillance, the story follows a young recruit drawn into a covert system influenced by institutions such as GCHQ and the RAF. The novel explores loyalty, manipulation, and the moral cost of serving something larger than yourself, blending contemporary British thriller elements with deeply personal stakes. When not writing, Greyta can be found reading, travelling, or listening to the kind of music that makes everything feel possible. He currently lives in Epsom and continues to craft stories that resonate with readers around the world.
