Rob Fillo is a visionary singer-songwriter, author, and performing artist based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. With a creative career spanning more than two decades, he’s known for emotionally charged vocals, poetic lyrics, and a genre-blending musical style that fuses alternative folk, country, blues, and alt-rock. His debut memoir, Singing with the Trees, is a lyrical and deeply personal journey through the wild landscapes of Vancouver Island during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Woven with themes of solitude, creativity, resilience, and renewal, the book captures Rob’s reflections on nature, artistry, and the search for meaning in uncertain times. Part travelogue, part soul-searching odyssey, Singing with the Trees invites readers into a world where music and wilderness offer sanctuary and transformation. Beyond the page, Rob has penned more than 100 original songs, performed at major festivals and civic events, and remains a passionate advocate for emotional connection and community through the arts. His performances and writing share a common thread: authenticity, depth, and a fearless exploration of the human experience. When he’s not on tour or in the studio, Rob can often be found wandering forest trails, lake swimming, connecting with local artists, or sharing stories with audiences across Canada.
