Hello to all my wonderful readers. I am so happy that you are here, and that you enjoy my books. I began writing because I had so many stories to tell, and in real life spend too much time day dreaming and imagining and fantasising about all the things that can happen. I also love solving my friend's knotty problems, the relationship issues, the friendship dilemmas, the worries about children and parents. And dogs. Always dogs. I always try and see the funny side of things - eventually, anyway - so I do try and introduce as much humour as possible. But the best thing of all is being with people you love and who make you happy. It's probably your gang of girlfriends or the other special people in your life who bring you deep-down joy. Love and friendship are the backbone to my stories, as well as having the courage to take a risk and find a way to loving your life as much as possible. And maybe get a dog. If you enjoyed The Summer Everything Changed, then my latest book The Sandycove Knitting Circle follows one of the characters. Kerry-Anne Daly is Patrick's mentor in The Summer Everything Changed, she's a beatitful and brilliant busienss woman, who has lost her mojo. Her best friend has died leaving Kerry-Anne devastated but in her cool, Bostonian way, she is still getting on with work, still attending those 5am gym classes, but when her stuffed-shirt, blue blood boyfriend admits to having an affair, she heads off to Sandycove - where she was briefly the summer before with Patrick (from The Summer Everything Changed). However, this time, she's on her own, and she begins to meet some of the locals, including handsome sailor Henry who works at the boatyard, as well as spotting a new business opportunity with some of the older women in the village who have a knitting circle. As she spends more time in Sandycove, she begins to realise that the village has a few secrets from the past, when it had a previous knitting factory. How does this discover fit into Kerry-Anne's life, and will learning about other people's grief help her with her own? It's a fun, emotional read, and Kerry-Anne is my new favourite character.
