First and foremost, Theo Tsirigotis feels odd writing about himself in the third person and never realized this was going to be part of the deal. But here we are. Over a period of just under ten years, he had the privilege to serve as an infantry officer, deploy to Afghanistan as part of the 75th Ranger Regiment, and lead a Special Forces (Green Beret) Team. After leaving the military, he faced a choice: start writing and get over his lifelong fear of putting words on paper, or slowly lose his mind. As it turned out, the choice wasn't as binary as it first appeared. His debut novel, Splinters of Heaven, launches the Pax Terminus trilogy—a grimdark fantasy exploring myths of cyclical apocalypse and what happens when magic becomes fuel for empire. Inspired by Joe Abercrombie, Andrzej Sapkowski, Glen Cook, and Pierce Brown. When not writing, he paints too-expensive plastic miniatures and wanders around outside.
