Thomas West (PhD, Southeastern Seminary) is the Senior Pastor of Nashville First Baptist Church and an adjunct professor of theology at Belmont University and Southeastern Seminary. Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Thomas spent several years in London as a church planter — drawn by the question of what it looks like to follow Jesus in a world full of competing stories about meaning and purpose. He writes and teaches at the intersection of theology, culture, and mission, with a particular focus on the work of Lesslie Newbigin. He is the co-author of "The Gospel Way Catechism" with Trevin Wax. Thomas lives in Nashville with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children.
