Wendy M. Kok is an award-winning author, licensed massage therapist, and podcast host. Raised in a small resort town in northern Wisconsin, she spent her childhood helping at her family’s summer resort, where she developed a lifelong love of fishing, wildlife, and storytelling. The Northwoods setting and colorful personalities she encountered there would later inspire her fiction. Her debut novel, A Grey Resort, launched in 2019 and was honored as the winner in the Romance/Paranormal category at the 2020 American Fiction Awards. This novel became the first installment in her 'A Thousand Years of Crooked Forest' series, a blend of suspense, romance, mystery, and paranormal intrigue set in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. She followed with, An Awakening, the second book in the series, and later completed the trilogy with The Choice, a dark Northwoods thriller that explores secrets, fate, and the thin line between the natural and supernatural worlds. Wendy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University. She also hosts A Juicy Pear Podcast, where she shares original stories and conversations with fellow creatives, authors, and storytellers. When she's not writing, Wendy enjoys connecting with fellow creatives, hosting her own podcast, exploring the outdoors, and embracing the mystery and wonder that inspire many of her stories.
