Another terrific instalment in the Skulduggery Pleasant series. I love these characters, and the new characters with their magical names are so fun. Great mystery surrounding who dunnit, then when you think you know who the main killer is in the end there’s loads more twists. The dialogue of puzzle solving was so over the top funny. Some real laugh out loud moments too. I liked this instalment because it wasn’t as suspenseful as most. Some of these books are so scary! This one was more on the fun, but still punchy, adventure side. The narrator’s attempts at accents is funny too, but I love his voice for Skulduggery himself. Now I have to wait ages for the next story, which is a bummer, so I think I’ll read all the previous books again, starting with number one. I love staying in this magical, funny, horror world Derek Landy has awesomely crafted.

All you would expect from a Skullduggery Pleasant novel. The usual great banter between the main characters. And,as usual about 40 sighs in the book. I would be unhappy if there weren't any as the sighs and banter are always guaranteed.
Shame these aren't done as a tv series - hello Amazon - wake up. Follow the books and you would have a cracking tv show
