I liked the beginning and the end! However the middle was basically just a re tell of previous books but from cass perspective. I did enjoy it but I think it could of been a short story and not a 20h re-telling…

I could have let other reviews put me off this. Yes, it’s a retelling of the other books rather than a whole book of story progression, but I really enjoyed that about it! The performance was great too

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book, I've become so used to Stinas voice, and I'd heard that this was more boring because of the story repetition. BUT, the insight into Casteel's POV, and the genuinely excellent narration had me hooked!
I didn't like Cas at the beginning of this all, he was a bit too toxic/red flag for my taste. However, I now see why, it's so lovely to get to know him and his inner ways. Great book, I'm glad I read it, and I'm now so ready for the story to move forward!!
