About this listen

As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man.

When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey. Hoop and his associates uncover a nest of Xenomorphs, and hell takes on a new meaning. Quickly they discover that their only hope lies with the unlikeliest of saviors... .

... .Ellen Ripley, the last human survivor of the salvage ship Nostromo.

This is a high level dramatization with excellent sound design. The hairs on the back of my neck were raised every time there was a *scuttling* in the ducts or a *crump* of the alien banging on the door. The dramatic musical score made this seem like a film. Top notch voice actor did an excellent impression of Ellen Ripley. Rutger Hauer in anything is amazing. The perfect balance of space horror and space action.

Thrilling Dramatization!

Backing track (music & sound effects) were bad & could've been recorded under water. Potentially 5 stars.
I enjoyed listening to the story but...as I've already said, my enjoyment was ruined by the music /backing track that sounded as if it had been recorded on magnetic tape that had worn thin (those over a certain age will know exactly what it sounds like. If you don't then ask your elders). Audible, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sort out the sound quality... We don't live in an age of audio cassettes anymore. If it were still the 1980's I'd expect it of a secondhand home recording.

Great story ruined by bad sound quality on music.
