About this listen

In a land where magic is might, Catalia Fisa is the mightiest of them all....

Catalia Fisa, Lost Princess, has been running from destiny her whole life. Yet deep down, she has always believed that the prophecy shadowing her every step is inescapable: her unimaginable power will bring unfathomable disaster.

But now her newfound loved ones are caught between the shadow of Cat's tortured past and the threat of her world-shattering future. Although it may be that this, even with all her power, is still the one battle she cannot win, Cat's determined not to go down without a fight.

As the realms descend into all-out war, Cat knows she must embrace the power at her command. With Griffin by her side and Gods willing, perhaps she can emerge victorious in this fiery forging of a new Kingdom.

I don't understand why everyone is making such a fuss about the sex scenes. There are two explicit scenes in this whole book. Really enjoying the development of the storyline.

Great story

Not as good as the first, tho still enjoyable.
Found the intimacy between the two main characters a bit much.

Goodish book

I really enjoy the ways this series is written, I like the characters and the story is excellent , as is the narrator. My gripe in this book - as well as the first is the toe curling scenes of lovemaking, - it's a case of too much information! It doesn't put me off buying the third in the series as I want to know the outcome, but if this lady writes any more books I just hope that she gets this out of her system. I feel uncomfortable reading about the passionate relationship between Griffin and Cat.

Really good story well read

Loved this book (and 1 and 3) but I was never sure whether I was listening to a book aimed at teenage girls or adults. It kind of appeal to both in me. The rumbling theme of the relationship with 'mother' did seem a little like a self help book aimed at reassuring girls that relationships with mothers can be difficult and it is not always your fault.
I agree with others - the sex scenes were way overdone. Some of them were useful for the plot because they helped you understand the strength and depth of the relationship with Griffin but others were just - yawn - not again. I too felt they would be embarrassing to listen to if you were not alone.

I'm not a prude but ... too much sex!

I would love to say this series would be excellent without the sex scenes, but frankly cutting them out would probably only leave enough story for a single novel. They are irritatingly repetitive as well as far too long and entirely unnecessary to the plot. Which is otherwise good although a little predictable at times.
