About this listen

After Germany lost World War II in 1945, a cold war started with the United States and its friends against the Soviet Union (formally known as Russia) and its friends. Why?

If the length timer didn't reveal it, then this book is fast-paced and dense. It lays out the tomoultous Cold War as overhead dates and situations being recalled. It feels almost like that app that summarizes a larger book.

Even though it is short it goes into the brief stories of people; parents that threw their child over the Berlin wall to be caught by western Germans with a net.
It is excellent if you have an exam coming up or if you need a reminder of how the beads of history are laid out and in what way.

Would recommend with the short timespan in mind.
