It doesn't take Meredith Mitchell long to regret giving up her lovely Cotswold cottage in favour ofliving in London. In addition, the fact that her job gives a whole new meaning to the word tedious does little to improve her mood. What she needs is a holiday. So, when Alan Markby's sister wants a housesitter, Meredith jumps at the chance. Alan himself is overloaded with work following the discovery of two bodies, one of which at least is a murder victim. No matter what he tries, he can't seem to get a lead on either case. Perhaps a fresh objective is just what he needs.©2000 Ann Granger (P)2000 W.F. Well read, well written. Easy reading with a good story line to keep me engaged. Nothing too tacking.

Enjoyed

Fast becoming a favourite series with strong plots, realistic characters and a fast pace. Excellent.

Great series

Beautifully narrated. Good plot. Markby's character could have been developed more. Meredith was better. Will definitely try more in this series.

Enjoyable gentle murder mystery

Marvellous writing, interesting story and a wonderful narrator in Judith Boyd, who is exceptional. I could listen to her beautiful voice all day. Ann Granger’s stories are so entertaining and I highly recommend. Such a shame Judith Boyd didn’t narrate all of Ann Granger’s crime series as the other two female narrators are downright awful.

Great story, fabulous narration by Judith Boyd
