This one is my favorite of the series so far! There is so much story in this shortish book and it had me hooked from the very beginning. There was such a forbidden feeling in the beginning that adds a level of angst that transforms as the story progresses. I have to admit, I didn’t know how deep this one was going to get but I was not mad about it at all. Such an exciting plot that felt endless in all the best ways.

While this was a great story on its own, the narration really elevated the reading experience for me. Not only were the performances full of emotion, the full duet style production, especially with multiple narrators was beyond entertaining. This series is definitely a must-listen!

This is the third book in The Pursuit, a series of standalone steamy romance. We finally get Jackson's story! His journey with Mia is full of intrigue, action, and twists and turns. Their story is passionate and captivating. Aaron Shedlock, Ruby Hunt, Teddy Hamilton, Michael Gallagher and Ava Erickson did a fantastic job bringing the characters and the story to life. I'm looking forward to listening to Pursuit of Love, the next in the series.

Dangerous Pursuit is the third book in The Pursuit series. This is Jackson and Mia’s book. Jackson was not looking for love. His secretary went on maternity leave and needed a temporary secretary. Mia’s mom is Jackson’s parent’s house cleaner. Mia is almost 18 years old that graduated high school early. Mia is about to become his new temporary secretary. When Jackson sees Mia for the first time, he pretends to be the biggest “boss-hole” to get her away from him. Mia’s father is in serious gambling debt. Her father taught her to play poker as a child. She is a poker prodigy. The men that her father is in debt to, came and found Mia. They are forcing her to pay her father’s debt off. Jackson knows something is wrong when Mia shows up to one of his high roller poker games. Jackson rescues her from a bad situation. He offers to help pay her father’s debts off. She starts seeing Jackson as a nice guy instead of the “boss-hole” she calls him. The sexual tension between them while he is waiting for Mia to become a legal adult is so intense.

This book was narrated phenomenally in multi cast with Aaron Shedlock, Ruby Hunt, Teddy Hamilton, Michael Gallagher, and Ava Erickson.

It's Jackson's turn and after meeting him and his voyeuristic adventure with Sebastian and Lily in the first book I was looking forward to it! Jackson's personal assistant is about to go on maternity leave and his helpful parents has the perfect fill in. Their cleaning woman's 17 year old daughter. Not only is she too young, but with little experience, Jackson isn't happy about it. Especially with how incredibly gorgeous is. Mia is more than capable, and with a chance to prove it, she does just that. But Jackson's grumpy exterior has made working there not the best experience. That is until he decides he is going to give in to his attraction. Not crossing the line until her birthday, they begin their fun. He keeps an eye on Mia after catching her playing poker in the most of dire of circumstances. But it doesn't keep the danger away. Then the unthinkable happens. Romantic suspense at its best, Bethany Rosa creates a fantastic plot that is surprising, exciting and has that love that grabs the heart and won't let go. Amazing listen!

Aaron Shedlock and Ruby Hunt are the narrators for this and WOW. They bring it. Shedlock is Jackson, the grumpy to Mia's sunshine, the passionate, dangerous man. He just gets Jackson and brings out all his feelings. Hunt is Mia, snarky, smart and passionate, she delves into the mind of this teen and lets her grow and mature through the story. Teddy Hamilton, Michael Gallagher and Ava Erickson pop in and round out the narration to make it a fabulous performance.

Jackson is the CEO of his family’s business whose parents are forcing him to hire Mia, who he believes is much too young, as his assistant while his regular assistant is on maternity leave. He is conflicted as not only doesn’t he believe she is capable but his attraction to her is very inconvenient. As the chemistry between them erupts he uncovers the dangerous situation that Mia is in and he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe.

Mia would do anything for her mother and that love has placed her in danger. She doesn’t want anyone to know what she is doing and that includes Jackson however the closer they get the more difficult that becomes. When the situation implodes she believes her only choice is to leave but she is about to find out that Jackson isn’t about to just let her walk away.

Jackson is a dirty talker and the chemistry between he and Mia is off the charts. The love that he and Mia share is unquestionable but there are so many obstacles to overcome if they are to have a future together. The full cast of narrators make the characters more relatable and allow us to feel the depth of emotions that they are all feeling.
