Loving this series. Good to hear the backstory of the Tennyson series. Excellent narration as always. Highly recommend

Another historical murder. Limited characters = fewer suspects = not very interesting story.
Jane seems to be regressing as she climbs the career ladder: stroppy and selfish. Still not a team player as a DCI?!
Feels like the author fallen out of love with Tennison.

Don't like leaving poor reviews, but... I've stuck with the series hoping it would grow into itself and become more self assured, but I'm throwing in the towel. One more time of hearing the (monotonously frequently appearing) word 'investigation' prissily enunciated as if in a Jane Austen novel would tip me over the edge.
Dated performance, pretty lazy and uninspiring writing, not much of a story... Enough's enough for me :(
