Summary

The story is great! The spicy scenes are hot! The love is so real! But dear gods the narrator’s choice for Kip’s voice and accent is inscrutable and dreadful. It really took me out of the regular and the spicy scenes. I don’t often mind my dependency on audiobooks because I can’t read effectively anymore with my eyes, but I’m definitely feeling that now. I wish my need to read this book could have waited for them to potentially re-record it with the stars of the show!

Absolutely terrible narration. What even is that accent? Completely ruins the whole story - it’s a joke. At some points the accent changes country and sometimes just completely disappears

Not my usual genre (I’m generally more a horror/thriller/sci-fi reader), but the story was enjoyable and uplifting. I imagine that romance readers will love this. However, the narration was very poor. Kip’s voice, in particular, was so grating that the dialogue often sounded bizarre and threw me right out of the story. I really hope that the Powers That Be allow this series to be re-recorded with the actors from the TV series. I would repurchase every book in the series in a heartbeat and relisten to them all.

Was a good listen, nice to hear more on Scott and Kip. Only wish it was a bit longer in terms of what happens post cup match, but hopeful you there will be more of them in follow on books.
