Was reluctant to start this as being such a Maas fan didn’t want to be disappointed..... but soooo glad did as yet again this was a fantastic read/listen. Different to start - like a fairy crime thriller - brilliant story line, characters, build - and left wanting more. Also loved narration - clear and pleasing to listen to Elizabeth captures each character beautifully - brings to life and at perfect pace. Couldn’t imagine listening to anyone else. Now just waiting for next instalment. Please hurry!

2/3 into the book it just got more a more eventful, you literally couldn’t stop reading without being left wondering what was gonna happen next. If your eyes do not water even a little bit then you might be heartless.

I almost regret my choice to re-listen to this before House of Sky and Breath comes out next week, but here we are ripping my still beating heart from my chest multiple times over the course of this damn book. This one hurts because I love Bryce a helluva lot, seriously, but I really love Lele and that scene DEVASTATES me. Every. Damn. Time.

Awesome awesome awesome, what more can I say. Got you from the opening chapter and twists and turns all the way through right up to the very end.

I found that the story is a complete combination of TOG and COTAR, with characters just been given different names and set in a different era. Not to say i didn't enjoy it, but it's in no way as enjoyable as the other 2 series.
