It’s been a year since the crash that Dorian survived but his friend didn’t and he is still dealing with the aftermath. It is time for him to honor his best friend’s last request which was to be there for his sister and that means denying his feelings for her. That is proving to be difficult as not only is she an honorary member of his family but every instinct in him wants to protect her.

Harper has tried to move on with her life but she feels she is alone except for her beloved dog. Seeing Dorian again brings up the feelings she has always had for him but she doesn’t want him as her protector she wants to be his equal. They are drawn to each other like moths to a flame however not only do they need to heal from the past but deal with the turmoil in the present as well.

Not only is Dorian dealing with the past but he is also keeping a secret hat he worries could jeopardize his relationship with his family. Harper is strong, resilient and supportive as she shows Dorian that he is worthy of love not only from her but his family as well. Ryan West and Callie West bring all the feels as they make the characters relatable and their romance heartfelt.
