Summary

Nell Gallows is the sole survivor of an elite dark forces squad, Riøt, after a detrimental attack two years ago.

Unsurprisingly, she's being put up as the top candidate for the special ops team Malum, the squad that goes where no one else will or can. There's only one problem: Malum blames their one casualty from the Patagonia mission on the Riøt squad.

I read the book and now I’ve listened to it too. I love it so much it’s nearly not enough! The characters are so loveable and the story is so captivating. The actors did an awesome job. The only reason I’d give 4 out of 5 is that it’s not duet. A man making a girl voice and a woman making man voice. Why :(

I can't do half stars on Audio so it got 5, but I'd say really it's a solid 4 1/2. This is the first book where I really felt it's dark aspects. I ate this book up though. Given that I have to work I listened to it in 2 days so that will tell you how much I wanted to see where it was going. I really like that it is a standalone and that it wrapped up nicely. Very enjoyable but check your triggers.
