Summary
Leo
I left the big city I loved and tomorrow, I start work as the only cardiothoracic surgeon at a small regional hospital. My kids are off with my ex-husband and his new man, and tonight, I'm free, alone, and determined to make the best of it. If Gideon the jerk can find new love, surely I can at least find someone hot to take to bed.
A local gay club seems like the place to start. My evening's looking up when I’m approached by an attractive younger man with a killer smile and sexy body. He suggests somewhere private, and I'm all in. But come morning, things have gone horribly wrong. Suddenly, I’m trying to get the guy's number and thinking this might be the worst mistake of my life.
Leo’s Lust is a 6k gay romance short story with a sexy surgeon, a sassy bottom, and a one-night stand that takes an interesting turn.

This short story is basically a prequel to "Quinton's Quest" that will be released soon. I don't think it is mandatory to read/listen to this one in order to read QQ, but I think it is a nice addition and will give you a bit of context.
It was a spicy short story that you can listen to, and for more context about Gideon and what Leo is talking about you can read "Gideon's Gratitude" as well.
Overall a nice audiobook/short story. I also like the narrator. I do recommend.
Short and not so sweet

Grey's Love in Mission City series can pretty much be read in any order as the characters don't overlap to often.
As I mentioned, Leo comes off as the bad guy in Gideon's Gratitude, so it is nice to see him working through his issues in this short story. I'm definitely looking forward to Quinton's Quest.
The audio version of Leo's Lust is nicely performed by Michael Dean.
A Nice Teaser for the upcoming "Quinton's Quest"

Short: 3,5*/4-
Narration: 4,5 *
Overall: 4 *
Spice : high
It is for me always hard to rate a short that is a set up for book that will come along after this one. It was needed to set up the dynamic/ tone for Leo and Quinten their story, that is book 6 in 'The Love in Mission City' series.
Leo starts with a mark by his name, for me, due to his behaviour towards Gideon when they had rhe divorce and subsequent custody arrangement.Well the first arrangement.
He in this short and described in 'Gideon's Gratitude' comes across as 'self centered', which might work in his profession , but not irl.
After his one nighter with Quinten, he puts his foot in his mouth once more. He seems pre occuoied to start his new job as well. Let's hope that explains his grievance towards nurses. Which Quinten I believe is.
I do look forward if Quinten lets Leo redeem himself. I am also looking forward to learn more about Quenten and if he can teach Leo better manners and using filters before he speaks. ;-) And also I am curious to find out more about Leo over what we know through Gideon telling us.
Narration by Michael Dean
The characters are introduced and I feel I will enjoy their book seeing as how the set up is done and colouring is given to both men.
Onwards to book 6.
I was kindly given a code by Gabbi Grey, the author. The thoughts about this short audiobook are mine and mine alone.

Short story prequel
Anonymous bar hookup
TBC
If you've read Gideons book than you will know his ex husband Leo. I actually would have preferred to have read this book first because Leo was such a badly portrayed chatacter in Gideons book that it really had me not liking him going into this book.
Just like Rayne Check was a prequel to Raynes Return and Archers Awakening was a prequel to Gideons Gratitude, this book is a prequel to this couples coming story.
This is super short and full of steam. An anonymous hookup at a gay bar that ends badly by Leos not so charming personality. Despite Leo not doing anything in this to redeem himself, I loved Quuntin and am still really intrigued to read Leos book and see how he will ever grovel his way back into Quintins good graces. Especially cause they were hot together when they weren't fighting.
I love this little community the author has portrayed and we are also introduced to a side character, a bartender named Mark and I am very interested in his story.
MD did an amazing narration as always. His voice is a pleasure to listen to. Like always he kept a great pace, expressed all the emotions wonderfully, gave all the characters including the side characters their own distinct voice that suited each of them perfectly and he brought the story to life.
Wonderful performance to a prequel with potential
