Disappointing compared to the earlier books for me . Skippy is one of my favorite book characters and he not in this nearly enough . The mavericks are pretty cool , but seems like the writer is trying to have two bands of merry pirates and it didnt seem to work very well for me . I would much rather of had them explore more about the elder tech !

FFS, it's gonna kill me waiting for the next book. I enjoyed this and the other books, I can imagine where the next book is headed, but will still look forward to it's release. I foresee movies or TV show in the future.

THIS AUDIBLE BOOK IS PART 6 AND THE BEST WAY TO UNDERSTAND THIS IS THAT IF YOU ARE A SCIENTIFICTION FAN THIS BOOK IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AND IT IS SOMETHING SPECIALS FOR YOU WERE HUMAN BEINGS ARE ON ONE PLANET' IN THE UNIVERSE' AND THEY ARE UNDER THE CONTROLS BY ALIENS AND THEN THERE IS A ANCIENT ALIEN THAT IS SO FANTASTIC AND HE IS SO GREAT AND THE SPACE CRAFT THE HUMANS SEIZE CONTROL OF WITH THE CONTROLS OF WITH THE HELP OF THE ANCIENT AVITAR AND THEY GO AROUND THE UNIVERSE LANDING SPECIAL FORCES COSTING WARS DESTROYING FLEETS OF ALIENS KILLING THOUSANDS OF THEM THEN THEY ARE THE MOST WANTED SHIP IN THE GALAXY

I was worried at first that we wouldn't get a full merry band of pirates story and I wasnt disappointed. The signing and hilarious movie and TV nods are the hilarious little bits that make these stories come to life. I love how much skippy loves to torment Joe..
