About this listen

I knew I wanted her since the first time I saw her at that kitchen counter sobbing.

I could see the pain in her eyes, and I knew she had never been loved right. She probably never had someone console or love her the way that I knew I would. I couldn't love her then. My heart wouldn't allow me to, knowing that everything or everyone that loves me ends up leaving this earth.

I love Quasim Inferno. I want to love him, heal him, and be everything he never knew he needed. I've never been afraid of going after what I want—including the things that are bad for me. With Quasim Inferno, I could see my entire future in his eyes, and it excited me. A man as strong and hard as him needed the soft and gentle… and crazy. I wanted to be that for him.

Im conflicted with this book, as I said it’s a great start to the series as the story is gripping but Myles does the book no justice.
It gets no better than Wesleigh Siobhan and with her specific cadences and dramatic readings she really makes the writing seem exciting and vivid.
When Myles starts he quite boring, making this book seem like another below par author writing another ‘hood’ book.
The story is intriguing none the less, onto the next one.

A great start to the series
