About this listen

If you’d told me years ago that I’d become a stunt woman after a car accident turned my Olympic dreams of gold to rust,
I’d have called you crazy.
Yet here I am, throwing myself off a perfectly good building.
I guess I’ve always been a little fearless, except when it comes to matters of the heart.
I keep my relationships light and meaningless, which is why my exes tend to have big...egos and the emotional depth of a puddle.
I’ll admit, I have the bar set so low it’s practically a tripping hazard.
Maybe that’s why when a tattooed biker started a drunken conversation with my boobs, I found him more intriguing than offensive.
I thought he would be like the rest, just someone to pass the time with.
But after years of keeping my relationships shallow, dating a biker is the equivalent of being thrown in at the deep end.
And as enemies, old and new, start closing in, it takes almost losing him for me to let down my walls.
Even if loving him might just kill me.

Rest In Pieces is G (Genesis) and Amity's story. Each book in this series will follow a new couple. Raven Souls MC is set in the same world as my Underestimated Series, though you don't need to listen to that series to enjoy this one. However, a few of the characters from Raven Souls MC are first introduced in The Crown of Fools (Underestimated series book five.)
This book is M/F.

This was such a fun listen from start to finish! This follows Amity, a fearless stuntwoman whose Olympic dreams were derailed by a life-changing accident. While working on a film shoot near the Raven Souls MC territory, she crosses paths with Genesis (“G”), a tattooed biker. What begins as an unexpected encounter quickly turns into something deeper, as danger, suspense, and MC POLITICS close in. It's full of gritty MC antics with found family vibes, witty banter, and hot spice. Amity is a total badass and I loved how strong she was, no intimidated whatsoever let alone with the MC. When G falls he falls hard and it was so good to see this broody MC member open up to Amity and become this softie just for her. But let’s talk about the audiobook because OMG, the narrators elevated the whole experience. Anthony and Meg brought so much personality to the story. Anthony captured G’s gruff, brooding biker energy perfectly and meg absolutely nailed amity, she was warm, witty, and full of sarcasm, but also completely real in her softer moments. Their chemistry made every conversation sizzle, and the emotional scenes hit just right. Whether it was humour, tension, or tenderness, they made it feel like they were right there with you in every scene. If you love smart, bold heroines, tattooed bikers with heart, and narrators who bring every character to vivid life then this audiobook is such a treat. Highly recommended. I can’t wait to hear more from this series!
Huge thanks to Candice & Bluenose for this ALC opportunity

It is always great to check out new-to-me authors, even greater when the author and book blows you away, and Candice Wright did just that with this fabulous story and amazing start to the “Raven Souls MC” series. The story is original with interesting storylines that drew me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and holding it hostage the entire time. I absolutely adored the characters, starting with Amity and her sidekick bestie, Nevaeh, who are so full of personality, wit, and spirit, not the holy kind. Their first meeting with Genesis, aka G, and then the MC club members, are memorable scenes, hilarious, and it gives you a look into how fierce Amity really is. Genesis is a solid guy, and I liked the other key members of The Raven Souls MC, and the camaraderie amongst them, also liking there is more to the motorcycle club, and I am looking forward to learn about them in the books that follow. Wright created something very special when she created this world and the characters in it. It was great watching Amity and G get to know each other, and seeing their relationship morph into something more. I loved all the layers of the story, and how it all plays out with the perfect balance of drama, including relationship drama, drama on the set, and club drama, angst, humor via witty banter and dialogue, action, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Not only are the writing, plot, and world-building superb, but the characters’ complexity, growth, and development are also fantastic. Candice Wright, thank you for this entertaining and amazing story, a wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the amazing audiobook listen and production, Meg Sylvan and Anthony Palmini, an ideal pairing and cast, did a fantastic job voicing the characters and performing a perfect portrayal of each. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Sylvan was a natural in Amity’s role, showcasing every aspect of her personality, from her wit to her fierceness, and was fabulous in Nevaeh’s role, uniquely quirky, both characters full of personality. Palmini’s Genesis was spot on, embodying his character completely, and was just as amazing showcasing his personality. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too, including the members of the MC, and on the movie set. They set the perfect tone for the story, and their expressive performance conveys all the characters’ emotions, making you feel them all. It is a pleasure to listen to these entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you hooked to the story.

This is a dark MC romance; I’d put it on a lighter side, kinda grey. This book was absolutely amazing, a great story to start this series, the writing is great, giving us great character development, world-building and plot. Absolutely loved the main and side characters. The spice is off the charts and is not a slow burn.
The FMC, Amity, is strong and feisty you will fall in love with her right from the beginning.
The MMC, G or Genesis, a MC member clumping high in the ranks; he has some of the most memorable scenes of this book, and they are hilarious. He’s a bad boy outside but a huge teddy bear inside.
Audiobook: duet style performance by Meg Sylvan and Antony Palmini, they came as the perfect cast for this story. Meg for some reason always surprises me with how well she takes on a role and makes it her own, bringing up the uniqueness and the qualities of that character to the forefront. She was absolutely perfect!
Antony is such a chameleon, he moulds so well with his character, giving us an unforgettable performance, showcasing his personality in every word he says. Both set the perfect tone for the story, giving us a way to get hooked from the beginning not only by the wrong but also by their amazing storytelling.
