Bella Matthews really put my anxiety through a gauntlet of emotions,because I was not sure how this story would end and I was nervous...For a heartbeat there I thought it was going to end badly and I would not be able to get over it.
Lexie and Lucky are wonderful...
Lexie has been away for a year in France and now she is back in Kroydon Hills,she has nowhere to live so moves in with her brother Linc and his friend Lucky.
Lucky is a football player and has known Lexie for years,they actually had a moment between them once but Lucky ran away.Lexie never forgot it and so they are kind of at odds with eachother.
Living with her will be difficult as he is still attracted to her,he never stopped wanting her,loving her..Now he has a second chance to win her trust and heart.
But Lexie is guarded as she is living with Cystic Fibrosis which makes her live a different life to others,and she won't get close to anyone.
Even though she is totally attracted to Lucky and always has been,she refuses to not give into her desire for him.
Lexie loves baking and works for Lucky's mum's bakery Sweet Temptations she tries to live her life as normally as possible.

I LOVE Lucky honestly what a great man he is,hes so protective of Lexie and sees past her illness.
I Love the way he fights for her and slowly starts to break down the walls that Lexie has built around herself.She is protecting herself and her reasons are valid,but she can't keep pushing people away and not have love in her life.
Lucky like the hero he is,is persistant and helps Lexie work through her issues...He is proving to her he is reliable..But can she trust him again ?
This Romance DEVESTATED me..It upset me so much,I was so emotional and it made me so sad and my heart ached.
I felt myself getting choked up as Lucky and Lexie had to work through loving eachother knowing that it could possibly be a short love affair..Lexie is basically a ticking time bomb and she could take a turn for the worst anytime.
It makes you realise how fragile and short life really is,and to never take your health for granted.
I fell in Love with Lucky he was such a surprise very loyal,caring and full of love for Lexie..
Lexie is a warrior and I was just so relieved that she decided to work through her issues and she shows courage in the face of her illness and takes off her armour to allow Lucky in.
I Love Lexie's friends and the banter they share,the support they give one another..The same goes for Lucky and his friends,plus Lexie's brothers,who are super cool because they actually encourage Lucky to pursue Lexie..Instead of the usual where the brothers won't tolerate any friends wanting their sister,they are happy about Lucky's love for their sister,I loved that.
I am intrigued about all of the characters in this book and I can't wait to find out what stories Bella gives them.
Narrated by Andi Arndt and Tor Thom who both give such a fabulously emotional and expressive performance.They were wonderful and took this story to an extra level and I loved listening to them tell this story to me.
I LOVED Lexie and Lucky their romance has sweet moments,steamy moments and heartwrenching moments,It makes you believe that love truly can conquer all.

When Lexi comes back in town, after staying a while in France, she moved in with her brother and one of his best friends, Lucky. They were also best friends when they were younger but something happened and Lucky decided that things would be better if he kept a little distance from Lexi.
Now they were forced to see each other daily and that tension between them was crazier than ever. Slowly, things were about to shift for them in a way or another, but there were so many unknowns there, especially because of Lexi. Will they give into those beautiful feelings that blossomed into their hearts or will they continue on their own paths?
I just wanna say that Lucky was the perfect book boyfriend!! He was a playboy but when he saw Lexi again, he left everything behind and made his goal to win her back. That was in spite of Lexi's insistence on keeping things platonic. Why? Because she didn't think that he must take a risk on her, knowing the fragile condition she was in. But their love and attraction was magnetic and they just couldn't stay away from each other, always gravitating towards one another. I adored Lexi and Lucky's siblings, who, I'm sure, that we'll get the chance to discover more in the next books of this series. Of course, that their well known parents couldn't miss, offering the best vibes to this story.
It was such a beautiful, emotional and often pretty fun book, which conquered my heart because of all those AMAZING characters. I adored Lucky and Lexy and their gorgeous love story, which transformed so beautifully from something simple into something indestructibile.
It was so lovely to go back to this book, making me fall even deeper in love with it after listening to it. The emotions felt even stronger than the 1st time I read it, being once again mesmerized by Luke's gentleness. Tor Thom did an amazing job in expressing all those emotions, as well as Andi Arndt, who played Lexi. They were mesmerising and I could feel in my bones all those feelings that they exuded.

Narrated by Tor Thom & Andi Arndt.
Tor is becoming very popular with Spicy audio books and listening to him explains why. Love his gruff masculine voice. Andi played Lexie very well, she is an emotional character and I felt it all.
Oh my heart 🥹. This is book 1 of new series and my heart has already been put through the ringer. We are still going through the next generation's of Kroydon Hill and this is rest of the Beneventi members.
Lucky is the star football (🏈) player and is Lexie's brothers best friend. He is known for his playing life off the pitch too, but what no one knows is why.
Lexie is such a brave young lady and to keep living knowing she may not have long live was heartbreaking and amazed. She still carried on following her dreams but she will not fall in love because she doesn't want to leave them broken. So she is living each day as it comes. Besides the only person she loved, never noticed her. She will never fall again.
Bella has done amazing with all the information regarding Cystic Fibrosis and how she wrote with great care. It's hard to see someone you love live through this, so please check TW incase it sensitive subject for you.
Lexie is back from France and is moving in with her brother, only problem is Lucky lives there too. She can do this, just pretend she doesn't care and move on. What she doesn't know is that she is the only girl he has loved and he refuses to let her go this time.
I loved how he persued her despite grumbles from some people. My heart broke so many times through this story, so have a tissue close by. Listening to it made it seem so much more raw. My gosh there was a point I was sitting on the edge not knowing what to expect.
But the ending was perfect and I will let you find out what happens.
The group of friends and relatives are hilarious and absolutely amazing, I love how so many of them are connected and how they joke about it.
I'm so excited for this whole series.

Andi Arndt and Tor Thom are the story tellers and together they tugged at my heart. Arndt is Lexie and she deals with an array of emotions. From the protective feeling of keeping those she loves safe from pain and the passion she has for Lucky, she voices all the emotions. Thom is Lucky, a bit carefree at times, but the kind of man that hides a bit from his feelings until he can't anymore. Each scene, he builds up the feels. I enjoyed this cast and their wonderful performance.
