Good story no doubt. Overall performance of narrator nice but voices he gave to certain characters inconsistent with previous books. Chandalen sounds retarded, Zedd on a verge of death, all women characters (most annoyingly strong ones like Kahlan, Cara, etc) sound scared and weak. if you can get over that it is a good listen.

So very disappointed! I am having such a problem with the narrator’s “re-pronunciation” of character’s names in the series. I know this is a great book as I have read the series and wanted to give the series a listen. I don’t know if I can finish this listen with Kahlan being pronounced a Collin! This book needs to be re-recorded with the correct pronunciation so that the continuity in the series flows properly. I will likely have to skip this book in the series and request a return for this title.
Absolutely annoying to have such a good story and series interrupted by a narrator not being aware of key characters names and how the author obviously intended the pronunciation to be. Such a shame!!!
