well rounded follow on with no fall out from previous books to catch up with.. brand new investigation for the team... nice and easy to listen to..even new/guest characters are well rounded with just enough back story to be interesting. looking forward to next book

Not as long as had hoped for an alchemist book but ok. Loved the story and as a reader that has brought the whole series, I just love diving into a new one! Bit unsure if I wanted to spend my credit on the book but caved in eventually. Narration good as always and could not be more happier.

I love the accidental alchemist series and this new story did not disappoint. At times it seemed like the editor wasn't paying attention and allowed the characters to repeat themselves unnecessarily, but a minor distraction on the whole.
Julia Motyka is an excellent narrator, she brings the characters to life perfectly.
I can't wait for the next I book to find out how Max reacts yo meeting Dorian.
