Perfection, narrated by the man that I have always imagined as Bosch since I first saw him play the role on TV. A silver fox if ever I heard one (whatever the rough edges). The thing about Bosch, as a character, is that you can rely on his integrity to his own values absolutely. Rare in a character, even more so in reality.

The author’s words crackle with life. The plot is intelligent and pacy. A detective novel is given depth and rich character by Michael Connelly. I read the book years ago and found it compelling. Titus Welliver adds a sumptuousness and clarity to the words that is totally engaging. I was not losing myself in a crime thriller but finding myself.
