About this listen

A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

The galactic core is beset by warp storms of a fury the Leagues of Votann have not seen for ten millennia. With both the Imperium of Man and the powers of the warp encroaching further and further onto the Kin’s territories, war reigns supreme amongst the coreward stars.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

Hear what happens when a Hernkyn Prospect leader and her companions are plunged into a venture beyond their wildest expectations, and find themselves set against an ancient, deadly foe guarding a mysterious but magnificent prize.

THE STORY

Myrtun Dammergot, leader for the Kindred of the Eternal Starforge, is in her element, exploiting the unending conflict and living a life of adventure, without the unwanted burden of responsibility.

But when a messenger from her Kindred’s Hold ship brings news that upends everything she knows, responsibility, challenges, and opportunity come knocking.

it was a fun Votann book. the lore, diplomacy and the kind of way they live. the narration was ok, not the best but it wasnt the worst i've heard either.

great first insight into Votann

I really feel like this story encaptures the adventures nature of the kin.

Found the book really well written. Brew sounds like coffee and beer mixed together which is interesting!

Really interesting look at Squats

I enjoyed learning about the votan culture but Leckie is a terrible character that shouldn't have been in it and the narrator was a little flat

Good story with convoluted B plot that added little to the story

for a 1st book it's pretty good and gives some interesting titbits into the dynamic of their roles and differences compared to other factions. The only lacking part is the narrator there not terrible but they don't quite fit, I had a look to see it's theur first Warhammer book so it might just be the difference but not terrible.

A good and interesting story for a 1st book
