I am hooked and can't wait to follow Sir William Gold throughout this series.

For perhaps 80-90% of this audiobook I had no idea where the story was going or what the central character was doing in a cast of 100s. Perhaps it was simply the terrific narration by Saul but I was still thoroughly engaged and really enjoyed this. Not sure I’ll dive into the next book in the series but it’s a definite maybe!

Great listen for medieval history fans. I absolutely loved the narrator. Also a nice first person view of some of the events during the Hundred Years War. And chivalry.
