I first read Nathaniel Branden's work in 1984. I have since read other books with self esteem in the title, most of which were along the lines of ... 'you can only have self esteem ..... if other people like you...' and this, writtten, sometimes explicitly, sometimes hidden. I realise that some people need the approval of others, almost like an addiction, or a child's need, but theirs is a mind set to be overcome. Brandon writes for adults, seeking adult solutions, not spoilt brat evasives looking for some collective social cult to belong to. Brandon writes clear, exact, fact oriented, well thought out, practical material that relates to the issue in hand. It's great stuff, and has helped me, in my journey through life to live and improve my social and motivational skills in many areas. I can't recommend his writing highly enough. It's Excellent.

This book spoke to me on every single part of my being, some of the descriptions and concepts and examples he was giving was almost like he knew who I was and what I needed to do in my life. It's been an eye opening experience.

Mind = blown

Would you try another book written by Nathaniel Branden or narrated by Nathaniel Branden?

No thanks.

Any additional comments?

Everyone has a different opinion but i personally found this very very dull and absolutely zero help. All the advice felt patronising and cliched. Not for me, sorry!

Not for me.

Horrible music in the background, way over the top voice over like in 80s aerobic. Feels all dated, not just the style also the content. It's so cringe to listen to.

Feels like it's from the 80s
