I love these books. They are a very gentle reminder of the hardships and sacrifices made by people at home during WWII. Although fictional, there are many historical facts referenced throughout, which I’ve found myself researching since.
The stories are beautifully read and I’m always really pleased when I find one available on plus.

whole thing good, apart from the prolonged conversation when they crashed the car off the road leaving the ambassador in the car potentially gravely wounded with two kidnappers who may have been alive.
