Summary

There's nowhere left to hide.

The battle for the gap

In the north, the collapsed section of the Wall is defended only by the decimated remains of 2 PARA. Even reinforced by Jameson and the exhausted Royal Marines of One Troop, it's a doomed delaying action at best - and the last choke point in the entire ZA faces an incoming tide of dead stretching to the ends of the Earth....

The race for the cure

Finally united, Dr. Park and Aliyev the Kazakh, supported by Pred and Juice on a mission out into a London falling into chaos, struggle to perfect the vaccine that will preserve the dwindling flame of humanity - and to weaponize the designer pathogen that might just destroy the rampaging armies of the dead....

The defense of the Alamo

Hunkered down at CentCom, the unified ranks of our heroes, led by Ali and Fick, work furiously to fortify and reinforce what will be humanity's final fallback position - forever. But it may be over before it begins, as a runner invasion from the south hits even before the great wave of death coming in from the north....

If your looking at this review you probably have already listed to the other 11 books. This book brings it all back home to England as things go from bad to worse. If you enjoyed the other books you'll enjoy this one. At times the end of the story seems so close yet frustratingly we have to wait to the next book as the story doesn't necessarily move that quickly but still worth it.

Can't wait for the next and final one.

If you are a fan of RC Bray then you must listen to the Arisen story.

It is better than Walking Dead and would make an amazing TV show. (I have loved every part of Arisen and think Michael Steven Faulks did an outstanding job.

Loved the series and sad it had to end.

It actually took me a lot longer to get through the last two books than I had hoped. But I did it.

The world that Michael created here is by far one of the most enjoyable audiobook worlds I've had the pleasure of being involved in. I am a true fan.

There's a lot coming together in these last two books and as a writer who manages a large world, I wondered how he could pull this off without it seeming too much. I have to admit I admire Michael even more so for his consistent work to make sure that everything really does come together well enough for us. This has been one hell of a journey that I've been on the edge of my seat for the last 6 books. I am stuck between wanting to actually finish it, and really not wanting too.

The characters we love are still put through the mill, there's carnage as the title says and there are great joyous moments too.

Thank you for this ride, and I am going to see what else I can now pick up from you :) These last two books were something else, I just hope that anything else I read/listen to from you, hits the mark.

Couldn't be better

What to say...mmmmm. I'm not sure I want to listen to endgame as it means when it's done that's it. Great character building and action. Amazing. As Fick would say I'd better just get it done.

Outstanding
