This story was the most interesting so far and also the most well read. As usual, the inspector gets his man but not until he's followed a few red herrings!

I am enjoying all of the Railway Detective books. Very morish. One is definitely not enough.

A detective story of the classical genre with lots of red herrings. Just right for a light holiday read. This is the first 'railway detective' book I have read and it won't be the last!

A great take well told that kept me guessing. lots of twists and turns, interesting characters and a charming style of wine that is apt and easy to listen to without being shallow or just serviceable. Marston makes the story memorable and engaging throughout. A great listen.

I loved the twist on the story, the ongoing step of Colbeck and Madeline and the way things are so week resolved in the end.
