About this listen

A crashed wedding. A scorned vampire. A necromancer's fury...

Damian Vesik is no hero. At least, not according to the magical community that turns a blind eye to his battles against evil. So he chalks it up as one more thankless mission when he's forced to stop his vampire sister from murdering her ex's entire bridal party…

Infiltrating the ceremony to protect the innocent, Damian uncovers something more sinister than a massacre. With the help of his berserker fairy friend, he'll need to prevent an unholy union between ancient demons and the walking dead.

Damian has one chance to stop his sister and ruin the wedding before one hell of an afterparty dooms the world.

Wolves and the River of Stone (Book 2)

A jilted ex. An undead army. Never date the damned...

Zola thought not seeing her ex-boyfriend Philip for 150 years meant he got the hint that they were over. No such luck. Not only is he back, he has kidnapped Zola and is using her as a pawn in his plan to raise an army to scour humanity from the earth.

Damian Vesik is ready to take Philip on, but he won't be doing it alone. Flanked by a pack of snarling, snapping werewolves, they are headed to an old battlefield at Stones River to put an end to Philip's twisted agenda.

Winter's Demon (Book 3)

A haunted sanctuary. A deranged god. Some things can never be undone ...

The horrors Damian has defeated—or caused—with his own hands are nothing compared to what's coming.

Philip's army of necromancers are on the move, descending on the world as harbingers of a great darkness. Aligning himself with Ezekiel, the mad god, Philip plans to unleash a power that will bring mankind to its knees.

Now they must seek out an old ally who may hold their only hope of salvation, and perhaps allow Damian and Zola to prevent Ezekiel's return. As Philip's ever-growing horde of demons emerge, however, they'll have to hope their combined efforts will be enough.

This is fast paced and totally engaging, you really want to know what happens next. The narrator is a little, not to my taste, but conveys the story well.
Character development and interaction is wonderful, lots of action and humour.

Brilliant story

Found it slow to star even though still interesting. You then realise the story building is well done. Great series. on to the next.
W.D is awesome with his reading. The individuality of the characters is amazing read and extremely enjoyable.

Great series. Fantastically read.

Paranormal stories involving a necromancer that faces insurmountable odds. Vesik is nerdy and sarcastic along with impressive physical and magical fighting skills. The listener is given a non-stop paranormal adventure! The importance of family and friends & choices permeates the storyline. The characters are awesome and the storyline is quite entertaining. The narrator did a great job! I received a free copy of this audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.

Entertaining

I have struggled with finishing this book.
It's NOT that bad but, it started to get very much repeated over the 3 books.

What did you like best about The Vesik Series: Books 1-3? What did you like least?

I liked the atmosphere that the author managed to conjure in places but I did not like the number of unnecessary supporting characters, it made things a little difficult to follow and meant most could not be developed to any real degree.

Would you recommend The Vesik Series: Books 1-3 to your friends? Why or why not?

Perhaps. The books are not completely to my taste but they are reasonably well written and different people have different tastes.

Which character – as performed by William Dufris – was your favourite?

Vesik

Was The Vesik Series: Books 1-3 worth the listening time?

Yes they passed the time and were a pleasant enough distraction while driving.

Any additional comments?

What's with all the eating? I know we all need to eat but I don't need to know every time the hero and his entourage stop for another face full of junk food.

A lot of potential but could be better
