Summary

DI Nikki Galena gets a series of anonymous calls. She is told the place, time, and who will die. But the messages are in a secret language used only by villains. Nikki and her team must decode the riddles and work out where the threats are coming from.

Meanwhile, the fens have been hit by a series of "designer burglaries". It appears that a new gang of thieves are stealing to order. And things get very close to home when a friend of Nikki's mother dies suddenly and, perhaps, suspiciously.

This will be the same review I always give to this series. Great story, terrible narration. I’ve never heard such awful pronunciation

Awful narration

The narrator spoiled it for me, I like all Joy Ellis’s books but I found it really hard to listen to due to this narrator.

The plot

Narrator has an irritating voice ,which spoilt it somewhat, overall it was a good story

The narrator has a machine gun delivery. Too fast for me, I’m afraid and all one pace. The story was ok but doesn’t temp me to read the next episode.

Another great book in what is turning out to be a fantastic series. This one was a great test of the teams character and strength. The continued character development is also amazing. The series is full of suspense and can’t wait to get into the rest of the series.

This series has got better with every book.
