The world Linda Sanchez builds in Truth kept me on edge. Caleb, the PR fixer, is forced to unravel conspiracies bigger than anything he’s handled. The revelations about memory tech, disappearances, and media manipulation are sharp. Jared Masar’s narration matches the tone - calm when needed, tense where the plot demands it. The 3h 29m length keeps it tight; I loved it.

I love that this is a series, and there is more opportunity to listen to and enjoy this mystery thriller. The author keeps you wondering what is coming next and keeps you engaged in the protagonist's mission to evade those trying to control him while maintaining his sense of self. At the same time, there is a greater purpose and a deep need for freedom because others have already succumbed to the fate that lies on his path.

There are some current modern themes, as well as glimpses into what could be happening now or in the future, raising the stakes and making it easy to imagine. It feels so real, especially with the mind games that play out for a while, yet the story still offers glimpses of hope and goodness. Cheers to book two ahead!

The whole plot is a huge conspiracy about memory tech and disappearing people. Standard intense thriller stuff, but it keeps moving, so I didn't zone out. It’s one of those books where you realize you can't trust anyone, including the main guy sometimes.
