About this listen

Toby's been building up quite a reputation for himself.

Well, he likes to think so.

It's therefore no surprise that when things go wrong for any of his canine friends, he’s called in to help them out. But this time, it’s Toby who needs assistance.

The Pointy Woman is back and our talented spellbound hound has a bone to pick with her!

The problem is, first he has to find a way to get to her. Cue a helpful fox, a plucky hedgehog, a "bithycle" made for one, a balloon ride never to be forgotten and the usual shenanigans.

But when the fun and games are over, it’s time to get serious.

Deadly serious.

All the latest magick and mystery from your favourite Spellbound Hound.

Toby's adventures are best listened to in order, although they can be heard as standalones.

Toby's nemesis is back the pointy woman. Toby is determined to catch her and put an end to her evil. He makes some new and interesting friend's. I love the story told from Toby's point of view and the struggles of being a trainee dog wizard.
The narration is perfect.

Wonderful story

I enjoyed this book. This book is slightly different to the previous books in that Toby the spellbound hound isn't working a case for anybody else, in fact he is following up on the possibility that the witch who killed his human is back. Of course this is never simple when you are a dog and he has a lot to over come to bring the killer to justice, like transportation, talking to a non witch and making sure his current human doesn't become the next victim. It's fun getting the story from a dogs point of view and experiencing the obstacles he has to concur. I love the way Toby makes new friends along the way (and in each new book) and I hope it's not the last we have seen of this unusual pair. How the author comes up with ideas is just magical and sparks the imagination of both young and old readers or listeners and she ratchets up the fun level at the same time. Glad to see this is not the end of the series.

After seeing the pointy woman at the house in the country and the dog show, Toby is determined to prove she is back and to finally being her to justice for killing Old Joe. The problem is Old Joe's granddaughter is busy with work and Toby will need the help of some new friends and transportation in order to find out what the pointy woman has planned and more importantly why she is back because whatever she is up to it can't be good, for anybody.
I liked the narrator. Even if the story wasn't good he would still make it an entertaining listen.
