Another great series by AlwaysrollsAone! I tried this book, despite the synopsis not interesting me, and was not disappointed. This book has a similar, altough noticeably different magic system than a soldiers life that i find to be more fair and accessible to the characters. This first book explains a lot about the world and builds a great foundation for the rest of the series. The main character spends most of the book training, but small time skips and events make the time fly by!

The narrator does an outstanding job and is a pleasure to listen to.

Very cozy slice of life

I only know the first book 📕 but, he prepares for a long life yet he almost dies 3 times! He has dungeon level magic affinity yet he doesn’t learn any spells from that school of magic! Sounds like a miss-guided character! The sword master should recognise the inconsistency of his skills like the gold creation! I guess it pushed to the next book along with the absence of the interaction with the new material! He was so explorative with materials before but not this time?
