Hi, I’m Terry. Wife, mother, grandmother, artist, scientist and Bible teacher. I was wounded! A wound that was too big, too much! God knew, and pulled me really close. He told me “the truth would set me free”. He was gracious and patient as he walked with me to healing.

I tried to carry all of my hurt alone for over a decade! I was overwhelmed, struggling, and exhausted.

I finally realized I had to get help. I had to talk about what was going on in my life. I had to trust others to speak into my pain, to help me release the burden I was carrying. I had to take one step at a time to the life God intended for me.

I focused on what I needed. I found safe people who could help me heal. My relationships healed and I learned about me, the woman God created.

If you’re ready to stop doing life alone, to let God direct your journey, and to release that burden you’ve been carrying….this podcast is for you!

In this episode, Terry explores what Scripture teaches about trials and how we can respond with wisdom instead of fear.

    Drawing from 1 Peter, James, and Job, Terry discusses how to "count" our trials, evaluate what God may be teaching us, and determine which burdens belong to us, which belong to others, and which need to be surrendered back to God.

    Today's Scripture Focus

    Romans 12:2

    Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

    Philippians 4:8. whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

    Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
